My garden is around 15 years old so is quite well established and requires little watering, however there are three areas which I have to keep an eye on during hot weather.
The three main areas are; the sunny patio containing trees and shrubs in pots, the patio nearest the house which holds my Acers and a few planting containers and a medium sized flower bed at the front of the house.
In order to make watering as easy as possible I set up a series of linked hoses but I often found myself at one part of the garden with the wrong hose connected to the garden tap so when I came across the Hozelock 4 Way Tap Connector I felt it would make my life a lot easier.

Delivery and Packaging
The connector arrived the day after I ordered it and it was well protected in several layers of bubblewrap.
Preparation
There wasn’t much to prepare this product; I just removed it from the plastic and cardboard packaging, clicked it into the Hozelock connector on my outdoor tap then connected the three hoses; one onto each of the outlets.
Testing
Despite it being November I wanted to test the connector so that I knew it would be ok when summer arrived.
Each of the outlets has it’s own on/off control which also controls the amount of water to allow through. I found this particularly useful as, at the moment, I only need three outlets so I was able to turn off the fourth allowing the water through to the other three. The other advantage of this system is that, by turning off one or more of the outlets, you can increase the water pressure to just one outlet if you wish.
Summary
I haven’t yet attached the wall bracket so it was all very easy to put together and in the summer I will attach it to the wall. I am very pleased with this product and will put it to good use throughout the summer months. I have a spare outlet which I will use to add a patio sprinkler on a timer for the very hot periods.
