Blog of the Month – My Tiny Plot

Looking around for new and exciting blogs, this month I came across My Tiny Plot.

My Tiny Plot is the diary of Gillian Carson and her vegetable patch in Bath, England. Her philosophy is all about growing vegetables and eating fresh produce; some of which she then turns into baby meals.

Gillian’s writing style is clear and easy to follow and her posts are full of interesting facts and lovely photographs.

I like the way she wrote a number of posts over Christmas featuring cookery and sewing projects as well as her I Want One posts reviewing gardening related products and ideas for Christmas or Birthday presents.

This blog offers an abundance of gardening information so take some time out of your busy day to take a look around this lovely website.

A Glorious Planting Combination

November 18, 2008 by

I have just been browsing the Gardeners World blog and Adam Pasco has a post about a great plantng combination of the evergreen Persian ivy Hedera colchica ‘Sulphur Heart’ and deciduous Vitis coignetiae, the crimson glory vine. I first saw Vitis coignetiae when Carol Klein featured it one Friday on Gardeners World and I just had to have it. I have planted it on my bare fence panels and now having seen this combination with the ivy wish I’d thought of that. It’s not too late though, looks like another trip to the garden centre for me. Take a look at the full post here.
