{"id":5244,"date":"2011-05-24T16:59:42","date_gmt":"2011-05-24T15:59:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gardeningregisterblog.co.uk\/?p=5244"},"modified":"2019-10-20T13:51:14","modified_gmt":"2019-10-20T12:51:14","slug":"allotment-update-late-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gardeningregisterblog.co.uk\/index.php\/allotment-update-late-may\/","title":{"rendered":"Allotment Update &#8211; Late May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Netting is up on one of the fruit cages; have had to order some more to complete the other one!<\/p>\n<p>The new Walnut Tree from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wigglywigglers.co.uk\/\">https:\/\/www.wigglywigglers.co.uk<\/a> has three tiny fruit on it already and the Plum and Cherry are doing well.<\/p>\n<p>Strawberries are all doing well and the new ones from the Allotment Plant Sale have been planted too so we should have lots of fruit this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Salad crops doing well along with the Onions and Garlic.<\/p>\n<p>Leeks planted out today along with more Onion sets and some Cauli seeds sown too.<\/p>\n<p>New Rhubarb, also from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wigglywigglers.co.uk\/\">https:\/\/www.wigglywigglers.co.uk<\/a> is settling in fine and the Pumpkins and Squash are doing well too despite Monty Don saying it was too early for them to go out!<\/p>\n<p>All potatoes now well in leaf and looking healthy.<\/p>\n<p>Very pleased and proud of our allotment progress this year, couldn&#8217;t have done it without Allan.<\/p>\n<p>New photos next week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netting is up on one of the fruit cages; have had to order some more to complete the other one!
